About: With more than 25 years of nonprofit and business leadership experience, Alvaro Garcia-Velez was named Executive Director of the Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club in February 2008. As a lifelong soccer player, he has coached over 25 years with the last 13 years with the MKSC Academy program. Alvaro holds a National USSF "D" license and works with the girls' high school program.
Roles & Responsibilities: Alvaro oversees the daily operations of Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club and Uihlein Soccer Park. He works closely with our board of directors and committees, provides leadership to all staff, establishes business goals and develops organizational planning.
Personal: Alvaro resides in Wauwatosa with his wife Mary and their dog Fenway. Alvaro is the proud father of four.
Fun Fact: Alvaro is a big fan of the Grateful Dead and an avid soup maker.
